Autism Hub facilitated the establishment of the South Brisbane Men's Shed to strengthen engagement and the involvement of fathers of children with autism in their child's schooling.

Research shows fathers of children with autism are often unable to find an appropriate source of social support who have similar parenting experiences.

We also know increasing a father's role in caregiving has positive effects on both their child's development and their partner's mental health.

The South Brisbane Men's Shed is co-located with the Autism Hub and Reading Centre at Woolloongabba, Brisbane.

For more information please contact the South Brisbane Men's Shed on 0401 277 810 or visit the South Brisbane Men's Shed website.
