What is it?
Check and Connect is a whole school positive behaviour support program that is designed to facilitate school engagement and attendance. It is a manualised program that trains mentors to work with individual students over an extended period of time (2 years or more). The mentors check in with students on a regular basis and aim to support them in areas such as school attendance, problem solving and skill building.
Research suggests that the program has had a positive impact on student retention.
